Best Casino Games For The Highest Odds Of Winning

Sometimes when you gamble, it’s hard to know what the best casino games are that will give you good odds. It seems like all of the games are leaning in favor of the house. And while that’s mostly true, there are some games that have better odds than others for the player. It’s just a matter of knowing which ones to spend your time and money on.
Methodology For Determining The Best Casino Games
George Williams, a casino and betting expert at Gambling ‘N Go, recently did a study analyzing different casino games, specifically to determine those that gave players the highest chance of winning. For the study, Williams recorded the “house edge” for every game and ranked them to reveal which were the best casino games for players to choose to maximize their chance at winning.

House edge is a term used to describe the mathematical advantage a casino has over a player for a specific game. This advantage ensures that a casino  can profit over time from players playing in the game. But if a player understands which are the best casino games, meaning which have the lowest house edge, then that player has a greater chance of walking away with winnings.
It sounds really simple, in theory. Yet so many of us walk away from these games with less money than what we started with. And that will be the outcome much of the time. Gambling was never meant to be in favor of the guest. The casino gets the money while the player (hopefully) gets the fun. That’s the deal. But that doesn’t mean the player can’t have the fun as well as the money. At least some of the time.
The trick is just knowing what the best casino games are to play.
10 Best Casino Games For Odds In Player’s Favor
Video Poker – 0.46%
A video poker machine displays a USD 4,040 jackpot won by a guest at the Red Rock Resort in June 2020. Video poker is on the top of the list of best casino games for player odds.
The study revealed that the game with the highest odds in favor of the player was video poker, with a house edge of 0.46%. And Las Vegas locals are always seeing headlines to validate this. Just recently, ktnv.com reported that a guest won $200,000 on one video poker jackpot at Caesars Palace.
Blackjack – 0.50%
Although not at the top of the list of best casino games for player odds, Blackjack is always a favorite for players.
Second on the list of best casino games for a low house edge was blackjack, with a house edge of 0.5%. Players swear that a manually-dealt hand is better than hands dealt from a machine. And that fewer decks are more in a player’s favor than the six-deck games. But the study didn’t indicate either of these were true or that they change what the house edge is.
Baccarat – 1.06%
Baccarat isn’t the most popular game in the casinos. But it is one of the best casino games for player odds.
Coming in third was Baccarat, which is already a favorite to gamers. Mostly because of how quickly the game moves. But it’s also one of the best casino games to play for higher winning odds.
Craps – 1.41%
Baccarat is a very popular game for gamblers. And even though it can get kind of complicated, it’s still one of the best casino games if you want higher odds of winning.
Number four was craps, which is a favorite of many visitors to Las Vegas. When working at a casino, I saw many tourists play craps, but not many locals. Perhaps the game is what tourists associate the most with gambling Sin City with as much exposure as it gets in movies. It certainly can get exciting, as long as you throw the right combination.
Slots – 2-15%
Slot machines are everywhere in Las Vegas. Even the grocery stores. And sometimes they pay out big.
Slots, coming in at number five, was interesting in its results. Specifically with how wide a range the house edge covered. We certainly see a lot of the higher end of that percentage in our headlines. Just last week ktnv.com reported that a player hit four jackpots in four hours, making him a millionaire overnight. And every single one of those jackpots was won on a slot machine.
Rounding out the top ten were Hold’em, with a house edge of 2.36%. Then European Roulette at 2.7%. Followed by Sic Bo at 2.78%, Caribbean Stud at 5.22%. And number ten was American Roulette with a house edge of 5.26%.
Knowing which games give you the highest odds of winning can really enhance your experience at the casinos. Even if you don’t walk away with a jackpot. And which ever games you choose, just make sure you’ve planned for the worst and hoped for the best. So you don’t have a bank account full of regret the next morning.
