ROCKFORD, Ill (WREX) – Rockford Hard Rock Casino workers and community allies are set to hold a Rally for Respect outside the casino this upcoming Friday, October 25. 

The workers are calling on the Hard Rock to end the anti-union campaign it allegedly has been running and respect workers’ right to organize. 

“It’s time for the Hard Rock Casino to stop doubling down on union busting and start respecting the rights of workers to organize unions and lift up our community,” said Sara Dorner, the President of Rockford United Labor, the local labor council that represents more than 25,000 unionized workers in the Greater Rockford Area. “The vote on Tuesday shows that Hard Rock workers will not be bullied. Now every worker at the casino deserves the right to win their union without the house trying to rig the game against them.”

The rally is being organized by Rockford Casino Workers United, a coalition of workers, unions and community allies advocating for good union jobs at the Hard Rock in an effort to lift up the entire Rockford community.
