NASCAR is back and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. Build a “Pick Set” (2+ drivers) and decide if they will outperform their stat projections. Here is some advice to help build your DraftKings Pick6 Pick Sets for the NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
Kyle Busch: Finishing Position – 9.5
Pick6 Play: Worse
Someone explain this one. Kyle Busch is not a top-10 driver this season. He’s not the driver he once was. His RCR Chevy is nowhere close to the JGR Toyota he drove for most of his career. Busch hasn’t earned a top-10 finish since Atlanta and that’s a superspeedway. He’s finished inside the top 10 five times in the last 20 races. Making matters worse, he is starting 20th. He’s starting 20th because his car doesn’t have speed, just like it hasn’t had speed all season. His fastest lap in practice ranked 23rd and he wasn’t much better on longer runs — 19th (5-lap run), 12th of 25 (10-lap run) and 11th of 12 (20-lap run). It’s his home race but speed means more than stories.
Christopher Bell: Laps Led – 46.5
Pick6 Play: Less
This is a little risky with the JGR star starting on the pole. He led 61 laps from the pole at Las Vegas last fall before Kyle Larson took over the race from the second position. That’s the question on Sunday. How long until another takes over? Bell won the pole but his car lacks long-run speed. Practice isn’t the race. Bell could be fine but this is not about the entire race. It’s about the beginning of the race. Will Bell lose the lead before adjustments are made? Tyler Reddick is starting second and his ride is ready. His practice speeds were at the top of the board in every metric, from single-lap to 10-lap runs. Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin are starting in row three and are faster than Reddick. Slightly farther back are Ross Chastain — winner of the most recent intermediate track race and a comparable track in Kansas — and 2024 top-5 driver Ty Gibbs.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether or not you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set
Create a Pick Set by choosing between at least two players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
