Park Place Prime Brings Upscale Steakhouse to Bally’s Casino

The popular board game Monopoly names its streets after those in Atlantic City. Park Place, in particular, is one of the board’s most memorable spaces. It is also the original name of the hotel that is now Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. To pay homage to this history, the new upscale steakhouse at Bally’s is called Park Place Prime.

The restaurant opened as part of Bally’s 45th anniversary celebration. The interior provides a classic steakhouse look with contemporary finishes. Guests will find dark wood tones, straight edges, dim lighting, and crystal chandeliers. “We’re bringing back the hotel’s heyday with a modern feel,” says Chris Carmany, Park Place Prime general manager. “Our goal is to recapture that fondness.”

Modern Fine Dining

Chris describes Park Place Prime as a “fine dining steakhouse. You eat with your eyes before your mouth.”

One thing that makes the steakhouse stand out is its wood-fired stove. Chefs move wood into the oven to make it burn. “The wood-fired grill makes a huge difference in the taste and quality of the steak,” Chris says. “You won’t even need seasoning, as it’s that good.”

Signature dishes include a 14-ounce prime ribeye, 14-ounce classic New York strip, and the Chilean sea bass. The latter comes with baby Bok choy, Asian ginger-soy black bean sauce, and sushi rice. Meanwhile, popular starters include crispy calamari and oysters on the half shell. Chris also recommends saving room for dessert and, in particular, their homemade cheesecake. “It’s not too heavy and it’s fresh.”

Handcrafted Cocktails

The bar and lounge area of Park Place Prime offers a modern cocktail experience with a robust wine list. Their popular Happy Hour runs Tuesday to Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Happy Hour features discounts on drinks and apps like truffle fries, wagyu beef sliders, and calamari. They also offer $2 clams and oysters on the half shell during Happy House.

Their most popular beer on tap is the Dogfish Head, 60 Minute IPA. This beer has a hoppy flavor that pairs well with steak. As for cocktails, Chris suggests the Paper Plane with bourbon, Aperol, amaro nonino, and lemon. But their biggest spectacle is The Smokehouse, a smoked old fashioned that comes to the table in a glass box.

Park Place Prime also has a private dining room that accommodates up to 30 guests, perfect for special occasions.
