LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The WarHorse Casino in Lincoln is preparing to open its latest expansion in early November.
According to the WarHorse Lincoln Facebook page, Phase 2 of the casino’s expansion will launch on Nov. 4. A WarHorse spokesperson announced that this phase will double the casino’s size, adding 400 more slot machines, 10 table games, an expanded Sportsbook and Simulcast Racing area, and additional seating at the Winner’s Circle Grill.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. on the day of the launch.
The WarHorse Casino originally opened on Sept. 24, 2022, and has since experienced significant growth. The first phase included a 9,000-square-foot gaming floor with more than 400 slot machines, simulcast, and live racing.
Phase 3, which will include a parking deck and a world-class hotel, is expected to continue into 2025.
