New Zealand’s gambling industry is concerned that cowboy operators with deep pockets will outbid them for online casino licences if the regulatory regime goes ahead as planned.
Currently a regulatory grey area in New Zealand, the Government is in the process of regulating and legalising online gambling, with the new regime likely to kick off at the beginning of 2026.
