Global gaming equipment supplier IGT has inked a near US$5.3 million deal with Suntrust Resort Holdings Inc to supply the casino management system and other key software for the latter’s hotel and casino development in Manila’s Westside City, due to open in 2025.
According to information filed by Suntrust’s parent company LET Group Holdings, IGT will supply the US$1.1 billion development with its CMS as well user licenses of mobile casino management system software, multi-denom game analysis licenses, a property management system, licenses for cashless gaming software, table manager software, consultancy services, project management and more.
The deal comprises US$4,720,765 for contracted work and another US$566,520 in maintenance fees for a total consideration of US$5,287,285.
In its filing, LET Group said Suntrust had awarded the contract for IGT as it has “vast experiences” in delivering such services, provided the second lowest bid of four tenderers and provides products of “greatest functionality” among those tenderers.
“Further, [IGT] has multiple project implementations in Macau, Australia, Vietnam and the Philippines,” it said. “Past experience in [the] Philippines market ensures that the Equipment, Software and Services will be in compliance with the requirements of Philippines government authorities and regulators.
“The Directors anticipate that [IGT’s] comprehensive business solution in gaming could be leveraged to deliver a high-quality outcome for the project that aligns with their standards and expectations and therefore have selected [IGT].”
Due to open early next year, Suntrust’s casino and hotel development will offer 475 luxury hotel rooms, a casino with 281 gaming tables, 1,126 slot machines and 134 electronic table games, a pool deck, spa, wellness center, ballroom and MICE space, multiple theaters, a “grand opera house”, food mall and four cinemas.
It will, upon opening, become Entertainment City’s fifth casino resort alongside City of Dreams Manila, Newport World Resorts, Okada Manila and Solaire.
